Are you looking for a different type of teaching role from September but do not know where to start?

Classroom is partnering with one of our established SEN schools to provide volunteering days for mainstream teachers to shadow SEN teachers in order to see if it is an option for career progression. You will have a chance to work alongside experienced SEN teachers, speak to them about their own journey into SEN teaching and ask any questions. We have many teachers who have found the experience extremely illuminating and who have realised that there are more options out there than they may have previously considered.

Every SEN teacher makes the move from mainstream teaching at some point and many never go back. Working with small class sizes, dedicated LSAs and alongside other specialists in order to help the most vulnerable children thrive is extremely appealing. Making a real difference with a small group is the reason that many of our teachers became teachers in the first place.

So if you have always considered moving into an SEN environment from September or are just curious about how a different teaching environment looks why not volunteer at an SEN school?
